Prep Week

The volunteers spent this past week making final preparations on the garden.

Volunteers, Matt and Wes, discussing our plan to weed and clean up the garden.

Beautiful brussels sprouts coming in nicely!

There is no such thing as too many tomatoes in the garden.

It was a great day at Lakewood Elementary and we can't wait to have the students out there with us soon!

Starting with Fresh Fruits

Look at how huge our papayas are getting! That's my hand!
This papaya was so ripe it snapped at the touch. I'll make a nice fruit drink with this fellow.
The pineapple patch is growing into a pineapple jungle!
These eggplants are coming along nicely.
So are these tomatoes. That one on the bottom right should be ready by week's end.

Seed Table and Sprouts

This winter we installed a seed table at Lakewood

We have sprouts and starters, lots of little greenies to fill our garden beds.

And yet more tomatoes.  These are yellow tomatoes.

We can't wait to get all of these in the gardens!
