Last week was the start of the spring semester. The week was spent getting things in order for the new classes coming out to the garden. And there was lots of watering being done! We also planted some loose leaf lettuce and potatoes. Andrea picked up a brussel sprout plant and some chives, thanks andrea!
Things are starting to peak up out of the ground. The sunflowers, corn, and even some of the wildflowers are popping up. The plants in the greenhouse are doing well, the broccoli will be transpanted into the ground soon.
Oh and we also added some worms to the compost! They are really helpful in turning the food scraps to compost.
This week will be very exciting, many new classes are coming out to help us, including all the second grade class, wow!
